Job Description

Tekion is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Processing Specialist I to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify title information for accuracy and negotiability.

Process title reassignments and releases for sellers and buyers.

Prepare and submit necessary paperwork, such as title applications, repossession affidavits, and correction affidavits.

Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries and resolving title issues.

Collaborate with state DMV/BMV agencies to address title-related concerns.

Monitor title aging to ensure timely processing and follow-up.

Assess and determine appropriate outcomes for title release requests.

Post charges and submit check requests for state work.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of experience in the auction/automobile industry or at a Department of Motor Vehicles (with a focus on title processing).

OR a combination of education and experience, such as a degree/certification in a related field and up to 1 year of relevant experience.

OR 5 years of experience in a related field.

Proven experience in vehicle title processing and handling.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in typing and 10-key data entry.

Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Ability to recognize title brands and other relevant notations.
