What is a Solution Engineer?
- Also known as a “Presales Engineer” or “Presales Consultant,” the Solution Engineer plays a pivotal role in presenting Salesforce’s product offerings and architectures to prospects and clients. They are instrumental in instilling confidence in our technology infrastructure and overcoming technical objections throughout the sales cycle by demonstrating how our solutions fit a customers’ current IT landscape and solve their most pressing business challenges.
- To be successful in this role, a Solution Engineer requires a deep understanding of Salesforce’s extended product offering, the ability to acquire underlying insights on a customers’ business, and the capability of crafting and executing a technical sales strategy to successfully convince the customer of the business value of Salesforce.
- The Principal Solution Engineer will act as a trusted advisor to our customers while aiding the customer’s transformational journey. We are currently looking for someone to extend our team focussed on delivering solutions to our Enterprise customers in Financial Services sector in Spain
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other teams.
- Understand the customer’s needs, and establish Salesforce’s product as the best solution that solves unique challenges
- Convey a deep understanding of the client’s industry and technology as it pertains to Salesforce’s solutions
- Develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, build and present customized demos of Salesforce products including solution concepts to key decision-makers to address their business issues and needs showing business value.
- Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge vital to be effective in the position
- Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
- Respond effectively to RFIs, RFQs, RFPs to progress Salesforce in the bidding process.
- Lead the technical side of the sales cycle
- Have a strong curiosity about growing your career and participating in our internal training programs and mentorship initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience implementing Digital Transformation strategies and delivering increased success to their customers.
- Track record of solution engineering, consultancy, delivery, or training success for an enterprise software solution organization.
- Proven oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energising environments.
- Inquisitive, practical, and passionate about technology and sharing knowledge.
- Loves to be the first to know something and to understand why and how things happen.
- Good at searching out information and experimenting, love to concentrate on a particular topic, and tackle puzzles.
- Good at explaining ideas and finding ways to keep people’s attention.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
- Fluency in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding the business requirements of customers within Financial Services would be highly appreciated
- Experience working with large financial institutions
- Being knowledgeable on industry-specific solutions
- Salesforce Product knowledge and certifications
