The Ads Measurement Lift Studies team is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of our advertising platform. We specialize in building compelling experimentation products for advertisers. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us build the next generation of lift study/experimentation products to help advertisers understand the impact of their ad spend on Reddit.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop and enhance the conversion lift system and advertiser-facing measurement products

Collaborate with Product and cross-functional (XFN) teams to define and align on the product vision and roadmap

Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts, working closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations

Take ownership of your work, from concept to delivery, and ensure that your solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance

Continuously learn and grow with our team, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development

Technologies used on the team include:

Languages: Go, Python

Frameworks: React, Thrift, Baseplate, Kafka

Datastores: Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery

Tools: Kubernetes, Argo, Docker

What We're Looking For:

A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science)

5+ years of backend engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies

Prior experience in ads measurement and conversion lift system and products

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders independently

Nice to Have:

Prior experience in the ads or experimentation platform space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas

A deep understanding of data science concepts, particularly in the context of experimentation analysis.

Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
