The Red Hat RHEL Security SELinux team is seeking an intern in Brno, Czech Republic, to work on Linux security. You'll contribute to the full release cycle of advanced security technologies, focusing on SELinux policies to enhance security and containment. This long-term internship offers hands-on experience with security frameworks, including Zero Trust and compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act. You'll also gain exposure to cloud-native platforms like Red Hat OpenShift and connect with leaders in the open-source community through SELinux policy.
At Red Hat, you’ll work in an environment that welcomes diverse perspectives, values great ideas, and empowers individuals to contribute meaningfully. Freedom and courage are two of our core values — which means you’ll have the space to take risks, explore the unknown, and grow your strengths. But being a Red Hatter is not just about bravery; it’s also about commitment and follow-through.
Red Hat’s Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. What you will bring:
You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor’s 3rd/4th year or Master’s) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.
Working knowledge of written and spoken English
Overall awareness of Unix systems.
General programming skills, knowledge of bash, C, and Python will be handy.
Due to the limited number of internship opportunities and the high volume of applications, we may not be able to speak with every candidate.
