Consulting Architect - Netherlands

The Red Hat Consulting Services team is looking for a Cloud Architect to join us in The Netherlands. In this role, you will work at the customer site as a subject matter expert in Red Hat’s infrastructure and cloud technology with a strong focus on cloud container technology. 

You'll answer questions about best practices around reliability, scalability, maintainability, high availability, and failover setups and lead the on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat’s technology that delivers freedom, flexibility, and outstanding performance.

As a Cloud Architect, you will gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructure , application landscape and business issues and make recommendations appropriate to their environments. This is a great opportunity to build on your core base of knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat’s solutions.

What you will do:

• Serve as a subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing the technical, developmental, or strategic IT needs

• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions

• Learn new technologies and apply these concepts to customer needs

• Adapt to changing customer requirements

• Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner

What you will bring:

• Prior experience working in a consulting/services role; ability to deliver in one-on-one assignments as well as projects.

• Excellent knowledge of container/platform as a service technology and related infrastructure technologies on a delivery level

• Experience implementing virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments

• Knowledge of one or more Red Hat’s solutions like Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible.

• Good customer-facing skills; ability to present to customers and guide customer interactions

• Understanding of the open source community

• Excellent problem-solving, and planning skills

• Applied knowledge of working with agile, scrum, and DevOps teams

• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification is a plus

• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or the ability to get it within a few weeks of the start date, is a plus

• Willingness to travel up to 75% across the region

• Excellent written and verbal language skills in English and Dutch are a plus
