Technology Consultant: Primarily responsible for the identification/development of technology solutions for clients using company products, outsourced technology solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques that others implement. Defines client needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project. Viewed by customers as a consultant. Performance is typically evaluated based on the capture of the consulting engagement and/or utilization, (i.e., billable hours). Survey Tip: This position should be used for individuals who are actively and regularly meeting with and presenting to clients. Individuals whose primary focus is “back room” analysis of client data without client contact should be matched to Business Intelligence Analyst (6011-6016). Employees whose primary function includes delivery as well as service/solution creation should be matched to Professional Services Consultant (5531-5536). Employees whose primary function is to manage the implement portion of the project, match to Project (Client Services) Mgr (5872-5876). Employees focused on advising clients on how to set up their systems to be secure and/or providing consulting and outsourcing services should be matched to this position or to Systems Integration Consultant (5721-5726). This role may come into contact with confidential or sensitive customer information requiring special treatment in accordance with Red Hat policies and applicable privacy laws.
