We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist, in this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and usability of our data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish robust data governance frameworks, improve data quality, and deliver insights using SQL and Tableau.

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will…

• Craft data governance framework: Define and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for data management and governance.
• Lead data quality initiatives: Develop and implement processes to monitor, manage, and improve data quality and data curation across the organization.
• A solid understanding of data privacy and data security principles: including compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR) and best practices for protecting sensitive information.
• Establish and track key data metrics: Define, measure, and report on data quality and governance KPIs.
• Support data literacy: Educate stakeholders on data governance principles and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate on data projects: Work closely with data engineers, BI developers and analysts to design and implement data pipelines, semantic layers, and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders: Partner with business units to identify data issues, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
• Utilize SQL for analysis and reporting: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Develop insightful Tableau dashboards: Create and maintain interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights for various teams.

To be a Data Governance Specialist in JFrog you need…

• At least 2 years of experience in data quality and data governance roles.
• Experience developing and managing data workflows in dbt Cloud, including writing SQL models and implementing best practices for modular secured and private pipelines - Must
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, with experience writing and optimizing complex queries.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Tableau for data visualization.
• Excellent analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks related to data governance (e.g., GDPR).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
