Overview
About the role
We are looking for a collaborative and motivated senior software back-end engineer (L5) with a passion for system design. In this role, you will build performant and reliable systems to manage lifecycle processes for non-monetary value (e.g., credits and coupons) within Instacart’s Commerce platform. These systems power millions of incentive transactions that underpin our Affordability pillar, driving growth through high-visibility, high-impact projects. This position is ideal for strong owners who are deeply curious and eager to develop a comprehensive understanding of our domain and business priorities. You’ll use these insights to architect scalable, extensible solutions that adapt to an ever-expanding range of creative incentives-driven initiatives. You'll join a highly collaborative team of talented engineers who prioritize mentorship, shared growth, and continuous learning. Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here. Currently, we are only hiring in the following provinces: Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
