About the role

iCapital is looking for a talented Regulatory Reporting Assistant, to support its continued international expansion.  iCapital’s rapid growth in the European and Asian marketplaces creates an opportunity to join a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment.

The Compliance Department holds a pivotal role in bolstering the regulatory and governance operations of our investment firms. You will be primarily responsible for AIFMD Annex IV regulatory reporting of non-EU funds to EU Regulators, additional national Private Placement Regime reporting, facilitating the firm’s own regulatory filings, and provision of administrative assistance spanning and array of other areas. The Regulatory Reporting Assistant will collaborate closely with our Compliance Officers and fellow international team members, other internal teams and external outsourcers, ensuring unwavering adherence to both regulatory mandates and internal protocols.

This person will be based in Lisbon reporting to a Senior Vice President, and within a Global Compliance Team of 34 members.

Responsibilities

• AIFMD Annex IV regulatory reporting of non-EU funds:
• Collect and review relevant data from internal Fund Finance teams.
• Liaise with external outsources and proactively solve any issues.
• Ensure all annual and quarterly deadlines are met.
• National Private Placement Regime reporting:
• Keep track of national regulatory requirements in the EU countries where funds are registered.
• Collect and review data internally, while liaising with external outsourcers.
• Monitor and ensure deadlines are met.
• Facilitating the firm’s own regulatory filings:
• Prepare baseline info for periodic regulatory filings to CMVM.
• Administrative assistance across other areas:
• Maintain and update compliance logs.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing within the compliance team across various locations.
• Support team members with administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Profile

• Solid academic background, bachelor’s degree.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Around 5 years of relevant work experience, even if training is provided when necessary.
• Experience in Annex IV and NPPR reporting is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working with confidential information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills – proficiency in English required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
