ABOUT THE TEAM

🤖 At Gorgias, the Demand Generation team is the tip of the spear of revenue generation. Our job is to maximize revenue by efficiently driving sales demos by running marketing experiments across multiple channels (email, ads, customer referral, direct mail), rapidly scaling the ones that work, and supporting other departments with growth expectations (sales, partnership, events, etc.)

The team itself is composed of two main squads:

- Marketing Intelligence is responsible for growth experiments ideation, campaign management, data analysis, and copy creation. You’ll work with Rory Conroy https://www.linkedin.com/in/roryconroy-growth/

- Marketing Operations is responsible for implementing, scaling, and maintaining automated acquisition systems, and turning your craziest ideas into a reality. including data extraction and transformation. ABOUT THE ROLE

📊 In this role, you'll be responsible for hitting ambitious targets every month and driving pipeline by running growth experiments across marketing channels.

You'll also play a key role in helping departments scale their acquisition. Collaborating with growth engineers, you'll develop automated and scalable revenue operations processes.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Develop automated strategies for customer acquisition, partnering with operations, marketing, sales, and partnership to drive step-function changes in outcomes.

- Run experiments to convert leads - you will generate ideas, define targeting, write copy, and scale the winners. You’ll also iterate on the go-to-market strategy, then test and measure the impact of your changes, scaling the most effective improvements.

- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to own and drive high-impact acquisition initiatives aligned with overall company strategies.

- Find new data sources that will improve our messaging, targeting, and/or campaign timing.

- Craft highly personalized email copies tailored to diverse audience segments, utilizing internal data points and the signal you've developed. Continuously A/B test these copies, considering their deployment to 1 million prospects per quarter.

- Analyze data to understand what’s working and what's not - from reading through replies to writing SQL.

- Understand customer journeys - you can look at attribution and understand what interactions are meaningful in the customer journey to move people down the funnel.

Example of projects you’ll work on

- Boost our outbound email positive replies through A/B testing of current copies, building GPT prompts, collaborating with engineers to create new intent signals, and experimenting with best-in-class copywriting strategies.

- Oversee and enhance our referral campaigns by discovering inventive and personalized ways to reach out to customers (email, in-product, SMS, etc.), drawing on internal data like customers' employment history or their LinkedIn connections.

- Create innovative win-back multi-touch campaigns spanning ads, SMS, email, direct mail, events, and more, to re-engage closed or lost deals and churned customers.

WHO YOU ARE

- 2+ years of experience doing both quantitative and qualitative work in a fast-paced environment, like founding a company or doing product/growth/engineering at a tech startup.

- Hackiness and product thinking. You’re able to balance shipping an MVP with building for scale.

- A hacker’s mentality with structured problem-solving skills. Revenue is your north star metric; you obsess over finding novel ways to drive revenue and eke out as much yield as possible from a given funnel.

- Eager to excel in the world of growth, willing to embrace challenging projects, and take ownership of business outcomes.

- Experience managing and executing complex projects cross-functionally across technical and business stakeholders.

- Ability to analyze data to drive business insights in SQL.

- Agility and speed. You’ll constantly try new growth ideas in this role. When things don’t work, you pivot; when they do, you move fast to scale them.

- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- You’re creative - you will think outside the box and build new approaches or ways of driving desired business outcomes. You’ll have the full support of a team.

- Competitive attitude: motivated by the idea of owning a number and winning.

- Proficient or strong interest in marketing automation, Python/Javascript, or web scraping is a plus
