We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join our Adobe Commerce team based in Bucharest. We work with a larger distributed team of product and engineering experts to develop new Commerce capabilities. We aim to improve website performance, increase traffic, and enhance user engagement.
What will you do
Lead a team of engineers to discover success metrics for Commerce customers by analyzing meaningful data from various sources. Be in charge of comprehensive technical SEO audits and improve strategies to optimize crawl-ability, index-ability, and search rankings, demonstrating insights for future automation.
Learn with your team which recommendations to establish from these trends. Understand the efficiency and impact of these recommendations against well-established critical metrics. Lead customer discussions, presenting clear recommendations that align with business goals while staying up-to-date with industry-wide trends and innovations.
Turn team findings into solid, meaningful hypotheses at a broader customer scale. Automate these hypotheses into self-learning software features to improve website performance, SEO, and user experience.
Lead and mentor, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Foster deep engagement with our customers and out of the box thinking.
At any time, challenge your and our beliefs. Be ready to prototype, iterate fast upon feedback and data, throw away, and restart as much as needed.
Frequent interactions with Customers and Stakeholders. Ability to quickly prioritize and build timelines that work for all parties.
Participate in the design and review of features, technology choices, architecture, designs, time and budget estimates, and test strategies.
Develop and evolve engineering processes and collaboration models to optimize team efficiency and collaboration
What you need to succeed
BTech/MS or similar in Computer Sciences -
Demonstrated experience managing or leading development teams through full product delivery cycles, especially monitoring and keeping the service within SLA Ability to understand business context and requirements, strong customer focus Proven experience in motivating, inspiring, and growing team members
Experience with page rendering, web application client-tier technologies including HTML and JS, CSR/SSR/SSG
Understanding public cloud concepts and resource types
Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a proactive, collaborative approach, growing in fast-paced environments
Understanding SEO concepts and tooling is a plus
